As a life long espadrille lover I was sooo happy when I discovered Sea Star brand. These stripped ones are my fourth pair, so obviously I like them very much. I find the shoes comfortable to wear and I like that I can hose them off it they get dirty. Another really nice feature is even though they look like traditional espadrilles, they have a long wearing sole unlike the rope soles on the traditional shoes. If you’ve ever gotten the traditional type wet you know it sorta ruins them. So the sole lasts and it is a bit not slip, I have never felt uneasy or unstable on my feet wearing Sea Star. I truly love them and have suggested them to a lot of friends. So if you’re on the fence, go ahead and try a pair. Also so you know, they’re very true to size, and if you’re a woman with larger feet or a man with smaller feet, their sizes are universal. I wear a woman’s 11, and I have two pair of women’s Sea Star and two pairs of men’s Sea Star. Finally if you feel a little rubbing at any seam, sometimes if I’m sweaty I do, use a little of an anti-chaffing stick, like the ones that runners use, and the problem is solved.
